The Assignment

Women of Endurance has been a big task on NaQuetta’s assignments from God. Which is why she has always been so protective over it and why the organization has been so under the radar. The year 2020 showed her that women truly need more support than ever.

The Journey

Women have always been everything to everyone but 2020 was different- The sacrifices that women made in 2020 were never ending. Long-standing structural inequities fueled by sexism, ageism, ethnic stereotypes, classism and other forms of bias—have created an uneven landscape that makes it difficult for many women to secure jobs with solid wages and opportunity for advancement; access to quality health care that is timely and responsive; and reside in communities with the essential services necessary to live healthy lives. Furthermore, deep-rooted cultural attitudes and
stereotypes about women have too often devalued their work and deprioritized their needs, leaving them without helpful supports. Both of these dynamics play a role in shaping the experiences women had during and due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Women of Endurance was birthed in 2017 to be a gap filler and we have been doing that with only 3 volunteers including myself. 2020 reminded us that we do this work better together. Which is why we worked diligently to recruit and retain a quality Board of Directors so that we can assist more single mothers. As of 2024 we currently have multiple Directors. The Mission

To help single mothers turn devastation into determination by assisting them with eliminating barriers to self-sufficiency and success.

The Vision

To be the organization single mothers seek in their time of need to get back on their feet.
