Meet The Founder

NaQuetta N. Mitchell
Founder & Executive Director, Women of Endurance

NaQuetta N. Mitchell is the Founder and Executive Director of Women of Endurance, a Virginia-based nonprofit organization committed to helping women—particularly single mothers—move from surviving to thriving through advocacy, resources, education, wellness, and community support.

Founded in 2017, Women of Endurance was born from NaQuetta’s belief that women navigating difficult seasons deserve more than temporary assistance—they deserve dignity, stability, community, and a pathway toward self-sufficiency. Under her leadership, the organization has developed programs and partnerships addressing maternal wellness, diaper insecurity, domestic violence, grief, housing instability, family support, and other barriers impacting women and their children.

NaQuetta is a faith-led community advocate, speaker, author, grief and trauma-informed coach, and transformational leader with a professional background in social services, education, youth development, and community engagement. Her leadership style is rooted in relationship-building and her commitment to bringing government, nonprofit organizations, schools, businesses, faith communities, and residents together to create meaningful solutions.

Her advocacy and service extend throughout Central Virginia, where she has become a trusted connector between individuals in need and organizations equipped to help. She also uses her voice to advocate for stronger systems, policies, and community responses for women and families who too often find themselves navigating difficult circumstances alone.

NaQuetta has been recognized for her leadership and community impact, including being named a Southern Virginia Regional Chamber Top 40 Under 40 honoree and receiving recognition as a Woman of Purpose,  Power 100 Award recipient, and Humanitarian of the year award.

For NaQuetta, Women of Endurance is more than an organization—it is a commitment to reminding women that their current circumstances do not determine the rest of their story.

Her guiding belief remains simple:

Women deserve the support, resources, relationships, and opportunities necessary to move from surviving to thriving.
